Activities in Sant Cugat

  1. Cooking with children

This course, in Valldoreix, is for mothers and children where you prepare easy, fun recipes and YOU do NOT have to clean up the mess!!

    Comments:
The recipes are easy but they are not the typical biscuits or cookies, they are recipes where children learn to experiment with different foods and tastes. You then take home all you have prepared. Max 6 children and 6 adults. Price 40 euros per adult and child. Includes recipes, chef hat and ingredients.

  2. Walks in Sant Cugat

    Collserola Walk
There is a great walk for children of all ages called "Pi d´en Xandri", which begins right next to the Europa International Schoool. The ground is firm enough so you can take a buggy / pram along and it can also be done by bike. You can go as far as you like and the more energetic tend to end up at the Masia for lunch.

    Baixador de Vallvidrera Walk
A favourite outing is to take the train from St Cugat 4 stops (about 7 mins) towards Barcelona to Baixador de Vallvidrera. Here you literally get straight out of the train and into the woods with numerous routest to explore. You can make the walks as long or short as you like. Taking the train is definitely part of the fun for children. Recommended for children of waking age (18 months up is fine).

  10. Parks in Sant Cugat

There are lots of parks in Sant Cugat and large parts of  the town have dedicated cycling paths that make it very safe for families. A favourite park with our children is Parc Central - the largest urban park in Spain with three playgrounds,  bike tracks etc.  Really well maintained and great for children. The Monastry square Placa Octavia is a lovely place to hang-out with a coffee or Tapas - they often have children's activities on here during weekends and in the summer it's full of children every evening playing. On Passeig Francesc Macia behind the Monastry are trampolines and a Merry-go round.
