Skiing in Catalunya
As the Pyrenees mountains are located only two hours drive from Barcelona (even closer from Girona), skiing is a very popular wintersport for many Catalans and their children seem to learn to ski almost as soon as they have started walking. There are a number of ski regions in Catalonia all within easy reach of Girona and all offering a variety of snow based activities for adults and children alike.
