Vall de Núria is a family-orientated ski station equipped with services such as: ski school, children's snow park, medical service, etc. You can also go cross-country skiing and on snowshoe outings. "Vall de Nuria is a great place to go, you can only access it by cog train - how fun is that! And when you get up there there is a playgarden for children from ages 2 up, for 11 euros for 1 hour you can sledge and do something called tubby, which is sitting in a great big inatube! (Snow permitting!) For bigger kids they do ski-ing lessons of course, there is a kids club, you can learn to build an igloo, it is brilliant what they offer (by Spanish standards!)" (HS, Dec 07)

La Molina

La Molina is almost 100 years old and has been pioneer since its inauguration - it was the first station to install a ski lift in Spain, it introduced snow canons and had the first 4-seater chair lift Opening times: Winter: from November 25 to May 1st. Vallter 2000 (Setcases)

The great thing about Valter 2000 is that you are close to some fantastic tourist spots including Oix and Beget  sandwiched between the Alta Garrotxa and the Ripollès regions. It is extremely mountainous, with impressive crags and dotted with important Romanesque art. You are close to some beautiful Pyrenaen towns and villages where the traditional way of life is still kept alive and the stunning Camprodon Valley, dotted with stone houses.

3month – 2,5 years old. There is a crech by the Montarto Hotel, where the toddlers are just well looked after while you ski. They take the kids out and play with the snow if it is nice day but generally they are just really well looked after by a very child loving group of teachers.
+2,5 years and no nappies. They have 3 Parque Infantiles on the slopes. One in each of the different areas of the resort; Baqueira, Beret and Bonaigua. The kids play indoors and out doors, they have lots of toys indoors and out on the snow. They have a fenced area with a conveyor belt /lift, where kids who are interested and want to can go out and ski with the teachers from the parque infantil. Often when you go and collect your kids you find them they have been doing face painting and have not been interested in the skiing at all. The teachers are really friendly and do lots of different activities with the kids.
Ski school. If you want your child to learn to ski it’s probably worth going through the ski school. There are many different ski schools but Era Escola is the one linked to the resort. They have a Baby Ski option for 4-5 year olds which is really good beacuse the ski instructor collects your child from the Parque Infantil, they have lessons for 3 hours (they normally stop for a snakc) and then return them to the Parque Infantil where they are given lunch and entertained untill the parents finish skiing.
It is not cheap, but you have all the facilities for kids to really enjoy a ski holiday and for parents to enjoy it too" (EB, Jan 10)
