Tarragona is considered the most important and famous Roman town in Spain and has been declared a UNESCO world heritage site. Located on the Costa Dorada (the golden coast), famous for its sandy beaches and crystal waters, Tarragona also enjoys close access to beautiful mountain ranges and nature parks. The villages surrounding Tarragona, such as L'Ametlla de Mar are popular with European expats and perhaps the most famous is one of Spain´s most popular tourist destinations, Salou, with its abundament of restaurants, activities and attractions for young tourists.
