Restaurant Albatros - Salou
Restaurant Albatros is probably the best restaurant in Salou and is ideal for people visiting Port Aventura who don't want to survive on the kind of poor-quality fast food served at most of the restaurants in the theme park. Modern and traditional cuisine is served in pretty surroundings, hidden away from the usual hustle and bustle of Salou. Very good price: quality ratio.
Calle Bruselas, 60- Cala Llenguadets - 43840 Salou 977385070

There are no highchairs available but they can give you some cushions for the normal chairs .They can also prepare kids meals on request.Recommended by Angela Schweizer

Restaurant Casa Joan Gatell - Cambrils
Restaurant Casa Joan Gatell is a renowned seafood restaurant offering fresh fish, shellfish and excellent fish rice dishes.
Passeo Miramar, 26 - 43850 Cambrils 977360057
Comments:
Try the 'arroz con bogavante en cazuela' - a lobster rice dish which comes highly recommended. The desserts are also quite special. The terrace overlooks the Cambrils harbour but the view comes at a price. Highchairs are available and there are changing facilities.Recommended by Angela Schweizer

Restaurant Casa Gallau - Cambrils Port
Casa Gallau is probably one of the best seafood restaurants on the Costa Daurada and very popular with locals. Set in an interior patio, the dishes are served quickly and efficiently. There are also vegetarian options

Restaurant Can Bosch - Cambrils
Formerly a fisherman's bar in the late Sixties, Can Bosch has transformed itself into a delightful restaurant in Cambrils, a 5 minute drive from Salou. Famous throughout Spain for its innovative dishes, particularly its arroz negro, a black rice made with squid's ink (sounds - and looks - disgusting but is actually delicious!). Although the original interior has undergone considerable changes, the dècor remains simple and elegant. It is child-friendly, especially for lunch at weekends when the restaurant welcomes large family groups - often with three generations at the table - so if you plan to go for lunch on a Saturday or Sunday you are advised to book well in advance.

Comments
Quite pricey, but well worth the expense. Wonderful desserts (if you like chocolate, order the warm chocolate cake), impressive wines, many locally produced and an amazing cigar collection (smoking is only allowed in closed-off areas). You can expect to pay upwards of 40 euros for a 'menu de degustació'.Recommended by Angela Schweizer
