Just for Mum

  1. H&M

Hennes & Mauritz or H&M includes shopping items for women, men, children, babies, and mothers-to-be. Excellent price to quality ratio. Especilly
reasonably priced maternity and childrens clothing. H&M has many branches in Madrid, check their website for your nearest branch. www.hm.com/es

    Comments:
Baby clothes: H&M on Gran Via has loads and they are much nicer (and cheaper) in my opinion than those to be found in Mothercare or Pre Natal.

  2. Zara

The ubiquitous Spanish chain Zara, now bigger than Gap worldwide, offers the latest in fashion at affordable prices, (and up to 30% cheaper here than abroad!) It sells clothes for women, men, teens and children. Sometimes stocking the complete Zara range under one roof but not always, check the website for your nearest branch. www.zara.es

    Comments:
Zara baby clothes tend to be less practical  e.g. have buttons instead of poppers.

  3. Lefties

Zara has three outlet stores (Lefties) in Madrid. If you choose to try your luck at these outlets, keep in mind that Monday and Thursday is when new deliveries arrive and therefore the days when you have the best chance of finding good stuff.

    Comments:
Some great bargains on last seaons stuff. Check items carefully as sometimes damaged. Prepare to queue at paypoints, they are generally understaffed.
