With nearly 3000 hours of sun every year, it is no surprise why the Costa Blanca (White Coast) is so popular with holidaymakers. If you are after a quiet holiday on a secluded beach the Costa Blanca may not be for you but if you are after a lively time, sun-drenched beaches and lots of activities to keep the kids occupied then you ar! definitely in the right place! The main towns of the Costa Blanca are Benidorm, Alicante, Javea & Torrevieja, all of which have large expat populations. The influx of immigrants has meant that you can get away without having to get out your Spanish phrase book on holiday, unless you head inland to some of the region's pretty towns & villages.
