Andalucia

Andalucia Image

Andalucia is the biggest region in Spain and one of its most diverse. The Costa del Sol has traditionally been very popular with holidaying families since the boom of Spanish tourism in the 1950s but there is so much more to see: stunning Seville, the capital of the region with its beautiful Moorish architecture, pretty patios and orange trees; the Natural Parks offer great walking & climbing opportunities, the Sierra Nevada for ski enthusiasts, the pretty white towns of inland Andalucia such as Ronda or the long sandy beaches of the Costa de La Luz.
Remember this is the heartland of flamenco dancing & bullfighting and its vibrant people are big aficionados of fiestas.

Balearics

The Balearic islands are made up of Mallorca, Ibiza, Menorca and Formentera and are hugely popular tourist destinations becasue of their beautiful, Mediterranean cuisine and fascinating culture. Despite the influx of millions every summer, the islands have managed to maintain much of their intrinsic beauty. Beyond the high-rise resort hotels, bars and more popular beaches are Gothic cathedrals, Stone Age ruins, fishing villages, spectacular walks, secluded coves, endless olive and almond groves and citrus orchards.

Madrid

Madrid Image

Madrid is Spain's capital and offers a wealth of adventures for visiting families. It may not be Spain`s prettiest city but there is a vibrancy and excitement like no other. Many believe that Madrid is a city to 'experience' rather than simply 'see'. Escape the hussle & bustle of the city by taking refuge in the beautiful Retiro park, find a hidden tapas bar, catch a musical, go to the zoo or Aquarium or take take a day-strip to Toledo, El Escorial or visit the fairy-tale castle of Segovia. Don't forget, as the city is 700 metres above sea level, its cimate is extreme. The winter can be bitterly cold and the summers unbearable in the heat, so the best time to visit is either the Spring or Autumn.
