Family corners at schools

Barcelona offers "family corners", giving parents educational material and professional help from primary school teachers (Adjuntament de Barcelona)
Districts including Sarria-Sant Gervasi, Sant Andreu, Ciutat Vella and Sants-Montjuïc now have these special areas where parents can share classes with their children
The Barcelona educational network offers a new experience for parents who want to share their children's education. This is the idea of the new "family corners", where parents can find educational material and get professional help from primary school teachers. El Petit Drac, in Sarrià-Sant Gervasi; the Casa dels Colors, in Sants-Montjuïc; Erasme de Janer, in Ciutat Vella, and the civic centres in Sagrada Família (Eixample) and Bon Pastor (Sant Andreu) offer mothers and fathers the opportunity to spend more time alongside their children.
The activity is for children between six months and three years, and the only requirement for attending is that the child is accompanied by an adult. For two days a week, parents can take part in activities with their children and receive advice from teachers. The children share the activities with their parents in the family corner, with the mother and father sharing the education of their children (23.01.08)
