What is your name, age and how long have you lived in Rojales?
Paula Salcedas, 27 years and been in Spain since 2nd December 2007
What nationality are you and your partner?
I am Portuguese and Donald is Scottish
How many children do you have and what are their names and ages?
2 Children Ryan age 4 on 09.10 and Skye who just turned 1
Do you work and if so what to you do?
We run our own Childrens Play Centre called Red Monkeys
What was your experience of relocating to Spain with children?
Very hard but hopefully for the best
How well integrated would you say you and your children are?
Very my children love it here and my son speaks fluent Spanish already.
What language do you speak to your children?
Portuguese, Spanish and English
What is your impression of childcare and education in Spain so far?
Rojales school (infantil) is fantastic in my opinion. My son Ryan goes there
Why did you choose this school and are you happy with your choice?
I chose this school as it is our local school and is Spanish and yes so far I am
Where you live, how good are the facilities for children (shops, restaurants, activities etc)?
We live in Rojales and apart from Red Monkeys there doesnt seem to be alot for the children to do or to go for their own time.
Are there any particular activities, groups, classes etc for children in Rojales that you would like to recommend?
Red Monkeys Play centre has a little for all worth a visit.
Are there any particular service providers (doctors, dentists, babysitters, tutors etc) for children in Rojales that you would like to recommend?
Rojales medical centre is really good
What do you think are the main advantages and disadvantages of being a parent from the International Community living in Rojales?
Advantages are that you learn of eachother. disadvantages are that there is a little bit of friction amongst communities at the moment
Is there anything you think would improve children’s lives in Rojales?
More advice for parents
What advice would you give for anyone having a baby or thinking of relocating to Spain with children?
Its hard going but it is better for children over here in my opinion

Some attitudes of people who feel they are still in the UK and all the not helping each other out.
