Child-friendly cafés & restaurants
-
Despite the fact that Catalans love eating out with the family, mums often complain of a lack of child-friendly cafés and restaurants in Barcelona. Suprisingly few have changing facilities, high chairs, space to park a buggy or have children´s menus. However, thanks to your help we have discovered some of the best places to take the kids for something to eat in the city or park your buggy without causing a pedestrian pile-up! If your favourite child-friendly eaterie is not listed below, please do tell us about it by clicking here

Drac Café
Recently opened café at the main entrance to the Ciutadella Park. Among the nibbles on offer are a selection of dips with tacos, patatas alioli, salads and baguettes. The puddings are pretty dangerous too. It´s great for small kids as there is plenty of space to run around including the park itself! In the summer they have the steam fans on to keep everyone cool. Decent prices.

Barcelona's first and only genuine authentic fish and chip shop. Thet serve the typical cod in batter and chips (freshly peeled and chipped on the premises) as well as traditional accompaniments such as mushy peas, gravy and curry sauce. They also have a selection of pies on offer as well as sausages in batter and fish cakes. This can all be washed down by some of Britain´s favourite fizzy drinks such as Vimto, Irn Bru and Dandelion.12 noon until late every day.

Based in the barrio Gótico, this is one of Barcelona's first tapas bars so it tends to be really busy. For the best selection of tapas it is recommended that you drop by early.
