Palau Robert
The park/garden behind the Palau Robert (Paseo de Gracia with Diagonal) is hugely popular from about 5pm onwards (after guarderia lets out) . Lots of local and international kids come to play in the sandboxes.

Happy Parc
Not that it rains much in Barcelona, but when it does Happy Parc is a great option. There are two play areas, one for the under 5s and another for the older children, There's climbing, slides, a ball area and plus staff on hand to watch what's happening. Unfortunately the opening times don´t suit everybody but it is generally empty during afternoons at the weekends. 5-9pm Monday to Friday. 11am - 7pm at the weekend. Entry 4 euros (per child)
