  1. Barcelona Women’s Network

    The Barcelona Women’s Network is an international group of women, living in and around Barcelona, who meet to socialise, do business, support each other and above all, enjoy life in this vibrant city. Members include artists, musicians, married women, single women, chefs, writers, doctors and health professionals (traditional and alternative) teachers, lawyers, working mothers, single mothers, entrepreneurs, journalists, relocation experts, lifestyle counsellors, estate agents and many others. Some have just arrived in Barcelona. Others have been here for years. All are welcome. The common language is English but you don’t need to be fluent.

    SWEA International (Swedish Women´s Educational Insitute) serves as a meeting point for Swedish women in Barcelona and hosts numerous activities such as mother and baby groups and golf, bridge and book clubs.

  4. The American Society

    The membership of the American Society of Barcelona is a mixture of nationalities being about half American and half European, the largest group of Europeans being Catalan. What draws most people to the organization is a desire to be involved in the English speaking community of Barcelona, both for social interaction and business networking. The American Society sponsor a variety of gatherings throughout the year such as business luncheons, cultural outings, traditional American and local events and celebrations, informative speeches, activities and parties for families and children and much more.

    The IWCB has been a successful voluntary organisation in Barcelona for nearly 60 years. On a weekly basis they host a variety of special events and activities, both in the Casa Orlandai and at other venues around the city and wider Catalunya. Their aim is to provide a welcome environment, to establish friendships, enhance knowledge, and offer support when needed.

    Sitges English Theatre Group host a variety of fun nights out including play readings, performances, quizzes and social activities
    It's a fun and great way to make new friends in Sitges. As well as plays, play-readings and other theatrical shennanigans, they regularly host social events during the year, such as quizzes and themed evenings. You don't need to be British to join Sitges ETC - they have members from all over, including Catalunya, Spain, France, Holland and the States. You don't have to be an actor to join either - anyone with an interest in theatre will enjoy Sitges ETC but you should be reasonably fluent in the English Language to follow what is going on
