Vilanova Playgroup

La Baldufa is a playgroup in Vilanova with a large room with different play corners, it doesn't cost anything to go and parents accompany their child at all times.. It is open every day from 5pm until 7.30pm.

Sitges Playgroup

Sitges Play Group is the only place in Sitges where mums and dads can stay and play with their children. There are groups for babies and toddlers throughout the week and it is a fantastic place to meet other local mums as well as for children to play with the large selection of toys. The play group also runs a number of social activities throughout the year and although the main language of the group is English, mums come from all over.

"When I moved to Sitges I was 4 months pregnant and had a 3 year-old. I didn't know anybody and felt a little overwhelmed by the prospect of connecting with a new community in a new language. After just a few days I found Playgroup...it has been my salvation! All my friends have come directly or via Playgroup. My husband works from a home office so it would have been really hard for him to find new 'buddies' but through Playgroup he now has a group of 5 Dads who he socializes with. Because of Playgroup the business of setting up home was made so much easier. I found out information about phones, doctors, shops, schools and more through the Mums at Playgroup. What would have taken me weeks took only days!My two children are at school now but I will be going back to playgroup for the fairs and fun stuff and to keep in contact with everyone there. Mas Mestre Swimming Pool (Olivella)

Mas Mestre Swimming Pool is an outdoor swimming pool located in the urbanisation of Mas Mestre in Olivella. There is a children´s paddling pool as well as a larger pool, where they offer children´s swimming lessons for as cheap as 20 euros for a 6 week course. If you are looking to meet other international mums in the area then this is the place for you! The swimming pool attracts most English speaking parents most days in the summer. The swimming pool is only open in the summer months (mid June through until mid September).

Ludoteca Planeta Magica

Planeta Magic is a large indoor playarea in Vilafranca (about 20 mins drive from Sitges). There are many activities for children, including ball pools, tunnels and climbing frames. Open Tues - Sun (including bank holidays)

Ludoteca Fira Park

This indoor Ludoteca claims to be the largest in Catalunya (1500m2). Open Tuesday - Sunday and public holidays. Closed on Mondays. There are different zones according to the age of the child and equipment ranges from ball pools, tobogans, bridges, ramps, climbing frames etc. They also offer birthday parties and entertainment

L'Anec Blau Ludoteca

This indoor Ludoteca can be found on the top floor of a great shopping centre (which is a plus for mums!). As well as offering a guarderia service mums can stay with their children and watch the daily shows or simply play on the equipment. Spider rides, ball pool and an elf´s cave are just some of the attractions.

Sausalito Beach

In the summer Sitges Play group meet on this particular beach as it is more child friendly and less crowded than the other beaches. There is a great beach bar serving snacks, drinks and ice cream as well as waitor service to the sunloungers (which most mums have yet to take advantage of!). The sea remains shallow for quite a distance and seems to be calmer. Pedalos can be rented from the beach next door.
To get there - walk along Sitges promenade away from the church and towards the Terramar hotel. This beach is under the small stone tower on the promenade

This beach is much quieter than the other beaches in Sitges but this comes at a price. It is about 20 minutes walk from the centre of Sitges so dont get caught stranded with a little one.

Terramar Park

Terramar Park is located just behind Terramar hotel at the end of the promenade. It is fantastic in summer as the many trees offer a natural shade. As well as a large kids play area there are picnic benches, paths for bikes and buggies and toilet facilities. This park is a favourite for Sitges Playgroup and many summer meetings take place here instead of at the centre.
