"Living in the Retiro/Salamanca area there are many schools to choose from, and I looked at many. Initially I sent my son to a Concertado, but found there was little parent involvement encouraged and it was v. religious. So changed at the beginning of 2 year of infantil to a wonderful public school. His teacher was like a second mother, very interested in his personal development, full of useful suggestions, and actively encouraged parents to come in There was a parent rota; reading stories, arts and crafts, cooking and science experiments, an excellent way for any parent to observe the class dynamic and environment" (AL)Recommended by Anne Lennon

"Belle’s school is a state school "NTRA. SRA. DE LA ALMUDENAand she has a wonderful teacher- Marisa. Marisa is professional yet very approachable and warms with the kiddies. She shows an interest in the individual child. The school may look like an uninviting concrete environment but her teacher makes up for every bit of it!" (KH)Recommended by Katrina Hendry
