    Escola el Tiller in Bellaterra

The Waldorf-Steiner "el Til.ler" Association preschool belongs to the World Association of Waldorf Kindergartens. These groups allow parents to provide their children with a Waldorf education in the years of voluntary schooling. All staff members involved in the organization of the preschool groups have a degree in educational science and specific training in the Waldorf-Steiner pedagogy. At the present moment, forty children are participating in classes. The school covers primary up to 12 and the idea is to carry on until at least 16

"Our son goes to the Escola el Tiller in Bellaterra near Barcelona. It's a Waldorf/ Rudolf Steiner school for any parents looking for alternative education for their children . The syllabus is in Catalan but the system is very different and at the moment it caters for children from 2 to 12 . I guess one of the main differences with the education system is that they cater for the individual and the children learn by experiencing and not by learning for exams . I would really recommend visiting the school if you want your children to integrate into Catalunya but not necessarily into the Catalan education system" (SG)

    Hi,
My two daughters and their 2 friends are in Barcelona on their gap year.
They went to waldorf school their entire school life and next year are off to university.
They are fabulous people, have connected with Waldorf communities the world over and are looking to rent accommodation in Barcelona.
If anyone knows any leads or can suggest any ideas, please contact me - Sally at sallyd@shearwater.nsw.edu.au

Jesse is a photographer and a fully qualified swimming instructor who trained for the Beijing Olympic Games.
Lucia speaks fluent Italian, is an interior design student, and has a love for all things graphic and illustrated.
Grace is a writer and a diplomat, she will go on to study International Relations, also speaks Italian and loves children.
Ruby loves children, speaks French, and has a passion for visual art- part of the reason we have all come to Barcelona.
At the moment we are looking for an apartment and would love to connect with anyone who may be interested to in putting our skills to good use or can help point us in the right direction to find accommodation..
