  1. Alien Zone (Sant Cugat)

    Alien Zone offers children and adults an amazing adventure in a futuristic world where past and future meet and you have to survive. At the beginning the players are explained the game and the rules and then they are put into teams with all the participants wearing laser guns and computerised vests. The game takes place in a large maze with fog and special lighting effect. You have to target your enemy and their bases and shoot them whilst defending your base. All the excitement of computer games but with the added benefit of physical exercise!

  4. Fundació Joan Miró (Barcelona) - all year except summer months

    Since 1997, the Joan Miró Foundation has organized 8 shows in Catalan for children every year (October-May), which are performed on Saturdays at 5.30pm and Sundays and Public Holidays at 11.30 am and 1pm. The Foundation considers it particularly important to bring children into contact with the world of culture, and one of the best ways of doing this is through drama, magic, the circus, etc. Special attention is paid to the selection of shows for children, as they are very much aware that this incipient audience will in a few years time be filling the cinemas and theatres, visiting exhibitions and enjoying music and reading.

  5. Enjoy the Miró Museum with the family (all year)

    The regular weekend activities at the Miró Museum take a break over the summer but there is still a chance for all the family to enjoy one of Catalunya's most famous artists work all together. Hourly tours of selected works will keep little ones fascinated with Miró's mesmerizing shapes and colours.
    Tuesday to Saturday from 10am til 8pm. Sundays and festivos 10am to 2.30pm. 1 hour. Free with entrance fee.

  6. Museu Maritim (Barcelona)

    The maritime museum offers a host of nautical activities for children based on the journeys of the hundreds of boats from Barcelona of the 18th and 19th centuries. Last Saturday of every month. 6 euros. 5.30pm

    This Shopping Centre has a ludoteca where you can leave the kids whilst you calmly go shopping. The Ludoteca has all the usual facilities and also has regular craft-making workshops

    This shopping centre in  Diagonal Mar holds free weekly entertainment for children . For the first weekend in May kids can make some earings (from diamonds discovered by pirates) in time for Mothers Day

  10. L´Anec Blau Shopping Centre - Castelldefels

    Every Saturday at 12pm and 5.30pm there will be a children´s show at the L´Anec Blau Shopping Centre in Castelldefels centre with clowns, entertainment and workshops.

  13. Mornings at in the Zoo

    Throughout the summer the Zoo of Barcelona is holding a series of workshops with animals in the mornings from 10am until 1pm . The first is called 'La familia Lleó' For kids aged 4 until 11 years. Places are limited so book fast. 22,30 euros or 15,40 for Zoo members. Members can also get a discount for 4 mornings at 46,25 euros

  14. Mornings in the Zoo for all the family

    The Zoo is also holding a series of workshops for all the family from 10am until 12.30pm , the idea being you will be privy to aspects of the Zoo that the public don´t normally get to see. On the 27th the them is 'L'any de la granota' 50 euros for a family ticket or 25 euros for family members. There are also supplements for large families. You need to reserve a place the wednesday prior.

  16. Travel by steam train to Montserrat

    Ferrocarrils of the Generalitat de Catalunya is offering the possibility to step back in time and travel by steam train from Martorell to Monistrol de Montserrat one Sunday each month from October through until June. In addition to the train journey, you can visit the "FGC a century and means of history" exhibition, to learn about the evolution of the Catalan railway. Tickets cost 16.75 Euros for adults and 8.10 Euros for children.

  17. Cooking workshops at the Boqueria (Barcelona)

    Every Saturday Barcelona`s most famous food market La Boqueria hosts fabulous cooking classes for kids aged 5 to 13 years. Starts at 11am. Price 19 euros for one-off or 48 euros for 3 classes.

  18. Rocks and Water (Barcelona)

    The Natural Science Museum and the Museo Agbar de les Aigües de Cornellà are jointly hosting a event concerning "rocks and water". The events are recommended for children over the age of 6 and take place at 5pm on Saturdays and 12pm on Sundays. They last 1.5 hours and cost 3 euros.

    The geology of Catalonia has experienced many changes over many millions of years. This activity explores why shells are found in Montjuïc, why Montserrat i shaped as it is, why there is a mountain of salt in Cardona and a volcanic area in Olot.

    Fourth Saturday and Sunday of the month
    With this activity you can play with the sounds of water and relate them to different geographic features.
